Inspiring Irish landscape photography of iconic views on the island of Ireland – Divine Photography

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Catriona and I’m a full time professional photographer based in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

When I’m not working as portrait photographer and photography educator, you will find me travelling around Ireland capturing our beautiful country.  Whether it’s the pull of the ocean drawing me back to the shore or the city at night, Ireland is a continual source of inspiration for me.

I have a number of different prints available showcasing my work around the island.  These include:  –

The Sperrin Mountains – One of my favourite places to go for a drive on a sunny day that’s not too far from home.  The Sperrins offer breathtaking views through Tyrone, allowing you time to slow down and unwind.  No matter where you start your journey in The Sperrins, there is something for everyone to see and do.  From the Sperrin Sculpture Trail, featuring 3 giants spotted throughout the area, to the OM Dark Sky Observatory located perfectly for star gazing.  The Sperrins are popular with hillwalkers and bike riders, plus there’s lots of wildlife in the area too – sika deer, red foxes and peregrine falcons to name a few.

The Wild Atlantic Way – This 1600 miles (2600 km) coastal route along the west coast of Ireland, is one of the most recognised in the world.

You can begin your journey at the Inishowen Peninsula in north Donegal and continue the route down to the beautiful town of Kinsale, Co Cork.

The Causeway Coast –  This region is rightly known for its spectacular scenery and they are many hidden gems to be found when you go off the beaten track.  With it’s rugged coastal walks and beaches, there is something for everyone.  There are many designated places of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the coast, the perfect havens for wildlife, birds and butterflies.

For those of you interested in the past, you’ll find ruins, megalithic stones and pilgrimage sites aplenty.  The 120 mile Causeway Coastal Route is listed as one of the Top 5 Road Journeys in the world. How amazing is that!

Belfast City at Night – Having lived in Belfast for around 15 years when I was younger, it’s always lovely to revisit the city again and see how things have changed.  Once of my favourite times of day to pop down is in the evening when the city comes alive in a blast of colour.  From the Titanic quarter to the University area, there is always something vibrant to capture.  I love experimenting with long exposure images (using slower shutter speeds) around the River Lagan, where you can produce some magical results.

I hope you enjoy viewing my work. You can purchase my Irish Landscape Photography prints on the shop page on the website.
