Layla, Wilkes Academy London

Award winning Northern Ireland Portrait Photographer and Educator. Specialising in headshot photography, personal branding & product photography. Based in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, I primarily work throughout the island of Ireland. My photography school, The Photo Academy NI, was created around 5 years ago. I provide a range of photography workshops, both online and in person. These include beginners photography workshops, taking better photos with your smartphone and photography mentoring.
My photography style is modern, creative and colourful. I know stepping in front of the camera can be daunting. My aim is to take the fear out of photography. Clients are put at ease, feel relaxed and we bring out the best version of you on camera.
Headshot Photography – Now more than ever, it’s so important to be visible online and to have a professionally taken portrait. Create cohesive branding across your social media channels and gain follower’s trust. People buy people.
The philosophy is to make you feel empowered and confident. I want to help you remember how amazing you are
I was fortunate enough to win a number of awards last year. The one I am most proud of is The Photographer’s Bar, from The Guild of Photographers. This is a unique distinction awarded to those photographers who have successfully had images assessed by the Guild of Photographers over the course of a year. You must attain a score that evidences an exceptional level of professional skill and consistency throughout that full year.
Guild Director Lesley Thirsk said “I am delighted for Catriona as this is a great achievement! Submitting and having images assessed every month for a year and reaching the required standards to become a member of the Photographers Bar is very demanding. It illustrates her commitment, skill and consistency. Catriona should be very proud of what she has achieved.”
