NORTHERN IRELAND HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY AND BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERT
Hi, I’m Catriona. Thanks for visiting our website.
Based in Coalisland, Co Tyrone in the North of Ireland, I specialise in headshot photography, brand photography and portraits. I know stepping in front of the camera can be daunting, so my aim is to take the fear out of photography and provide you with quality images that you are proud to share.
I established the photography training arm of my business, The Photo Academy NI around 6 years ago. As a photography educator and coach, I provide a range of photography workshops, both online and in person. These include group sessions with businesses, schools and community groups, 1-2-1 Photography Mentoring and online courses on our online learning platform.
My photography style is modern, creative and colourful. If you like what you see and would like to book in or chat more, drop me a message via the contact page below.
Our most popular services are headshot photography, brand photography, pet portraits, family portraits and photography workshops.
Do you love photography and want to develop your style or grow your existing skills further? Then why not visit my photography training school website and see how I can help you.
I offer a range of workshops and courses, both in person and online, helping you get the most from your camera or smartphone. If you prefer to learn on a 1-2-1 basis, I offer photography mentoring sessions specifically tailored to your natural skills, equipment and ability.
I work with people of all levels of ability, from kids to photographers at different stages in their journey. So whether you are an aspiring amateur photographer, someone studying photography or a business owner wanting to improve their online content, I’m here to help.
Our most popular workshops and courses are Snapshot Online Smartphone Photography Course, Luminary Photography Foundation Course, Beginners Photography Workshops, Creative Arts and Wellness Classes and One to One Photography Mentoring with Catriona.
I’ve been fortunate enough to win a number of awards throughout my career. These include Creative Portrait Photography awards, Fine Art Photography awards, Tyrone Portrait Photographer of the year 2023 and I was shortlisted as a finalist in the Society of Portrait and Wedding Photographers Awards as Trainer of the Year in 2022 & 2023. One award that I am very proud of is The Photographer’s Bar, from The Guild of Photographers. This is a unique distinction awarded to those photographers who have successfully had images assessed by the Guild of Photographers over the course of a year. You must attain a score that evidences an exceptional level of professional skill and consistency throughout that full year.
Guild Director Lesley Thirsk said “I am delighted for Catriona as this is a great achievement! Submitting and having images assessed every month for a year and reaching the required standards to become a member of the Photographers Bar is very demanding. It illustrates her commitment, skill and consistency. Catriona should be very proud of what she has achieved.”
